Murrelektronik is among the 100 most innovative mid-sized companies in Germany. Mr. Lothar Späth, former Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, granted the company from Oppenweiler the prestigious award of the “Top 100 Innovation” competition.
“The decisive reason why we have become a member of the circle of the most innovative companies in Germany is because of our climate that encourages innovation and the intensive communication we use to promote the development of innovation," said Mr. Arndt, managing director for sales and marketing.
The heart of the innovation process at Murrelektronik is formed by an “innovation circle”, consisting of the heads of the individual departments who meet once a quarter. In the daily routine, the software “Innoman” supports the execution of projects. This way processes can be coordinated in an optimum manner and all developments can be pushed ahead. Specific training courses stimulate the innovative thinking of the Murrelektronik staff.
In order to be admitted into the exclusive circle of the 100 most innovative mid-sized companies in Germany, Murrelektronik had to undergo a rigorous selection procedure carried out by the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
The companies awarded the Top 100 Award distinguish themselves from many other mid-sized companies most of all by the fact that they achieve a high turnover by innovations and improvements in the past three years. It is also noticeable that the award winning companies on an average provide more “risk capital” so that the staff can persue their own ideas.
